Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Demonstrated background working in school settings
- Experience in home health or healthcare OT roles highly desirable
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and best practices
- Previous COTA supervision experience is a plus
- Strong skills conducting evaluations and writing clear, actionable reports
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams
- Provide direct intervention services both in-person and virtually as needed
- Offer professional supervision, mentorship, and support to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Develop and implement targeted, individualized treatment plans that address each student’s needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful input to guide educational and therapeutic planning
- Document progress and outcomes, ensuring compliance with all regulations and best practices
