School Occupational Therapist - Palmer, Alaska

Qualifications and Experience:

• Possess or be eligible for an Alaska OT licensure
• Type C Certification required
• Preference for AK-Certified professionals
• Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy is highly desirable
• Comfortable delivering therapy exclusively onsite (no virtual options considered)
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
• Schedule and provide approximately 1000 minutes (16 hours) of direct student contact per week
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support teams to ensure optimal student outcomes
• Maintain timely and accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and required paperwork
• Participate fully in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the development of student goals
• Support students’ growth in fine motor skills, sensory processing, activities of daily living, and classroom participation
