Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student growth as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant school setting. This onsite role, located in the Palmer, AK area, focuses on providing hands-on therapeutic services directly to students during the upcoming school year. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with teachers, staff, and families, helping students develop the skills they need to thrive in their educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy licensure for the state of Alaska
  • TYPE C Certification required
  • Previous experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred
  • Approximate caseload involves 1,000 minutes of direct student contact weekly (about 16 hours)
  • Must be comfortable working solely onsite (Virtual/VOCO not considered at this time)
  • AK-Certified professionals are especially encouraged
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students in an educational environment
  • Assess and develop treatment plans tailored to individual student needs and IEPs
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Participate in meetings, provide input for IEPs, and adhere to school district guidelines and schedules
