Key Qualifications:

  • Valid occupational therapy license for Alaska (AK Licensure required)
  • TYPE C Certification required
  • Experience in school-based OT roles strongly preferred
  • AK-Certified candidates encouraged to apply
  • Skilled in direct, in-person student interventions—no virtual options permitted for this position
  • Ability to manage a caseload totaling approximately 1,000 minutes of student contact weekly (about 16 hours)
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to a full contract through May 21, 2027, with 37.5 scheduled hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive OT services to children and adolescents in-person on campus
  • Conduct assessments, write evaluation reports, and contribute to IEP development
  • Provide targeted interventions, monitor progress, and document outcomes according to school and regulatory standards
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation and performance within the classroom and school routines
  • Maintain detailed session notes and fulfill all compliance requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and offer professional expertise regarding student development and accommodations
