Occupational Therapist School Setting in Palo Alto, CA

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active California OT license and certification
• Successful experience or specialized training in school-based OT
• Knowledge of IEP processes and ability to document effectively
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with K-12th grade students across a range of needs

Responsibilities:

• Assess students using standardized and functional assessment tools to identify OT needs
• Develop individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educational staff and families
• Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to support students’ participation and independence
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Contribute to IEP meetings and provide necessary documentation according to district and state guidelines
• Educate teachers and staff on strategies, adaptations, and support for student success
