Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric assessments and interventions
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school campuses in the San Jose and Peninsula region
- Effective time management and organization abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Conduct assessments and interpret results to inform therapy plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and participation in school activities
- Develop and monitor student goals, documenting progress and adapting plans as necessary
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to foster student independence
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
- Maintain records and reports according to district and state guidelines
