Occupational Therapist School Setting in Palo Alto, CA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
• Previous experience providing OT services in a school environment preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric assessments and interventions
• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Flexibility to travel between multiple school campuses in the San Jose and Peninsula region
• Effective time management and organization abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group therapy services to students with diverse needs
• Conduct assessments and interpret results to inform therapy plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and participation in school activities
• Develop and monitor student goals, documenting progress and adapting plans as necessary
• Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to foster student independence
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
• Maintain records and reports according to district and state guidelines
