This full-time role (8 hours per day) allows you to provide both direct and consultative OT services, with a current caseload of 22 direct service students and 13 consult cases.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active California OT license and registration
- Previous experience providing occupational therapy in educational environments is preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Ability to tailor therapy plans to diverse student needs and varying age groups
- Organizational skills to efficiently manage caseloads and travel between school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to students as outlined in IEPs, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and access to the curriculum
- Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and create individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with staff and families through consultative support, training, and guidance
- Document all services, progress, and assessments in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student supports
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to students’ academic and personal growth
