Seeking an experienced occupational therapist to provide essential services within a self-contained special education program supporting students aged 3 to 22. This is a full-time contract opportunity, with responsibilities spanning across a caseload of 18-25 students. The role involves working on-site and requires the ability to participate in an in-person interview.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid OT licensure and credentials for school-based services
  • Experience in school settings, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy for pediatric and young adult populations
  • Specialized knowledge working with special education programs and diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Flexibility to adapt strategies to varying ages and student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored occupational therapy interventions for students with varying abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, SPED program staff, and families to support academic and functional goals
  • Provide therapy services individually or in small group settings within the school environment
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment as needed
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
  • Maintain detailed records and comply with all relevant school and district policies
