School Occupational Therapist - Parksley, Virginia

You'll work collaboratively with educators and families, helping students overcome barriers to academic success while developing their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive techniques.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in Virginia
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to develop effective treatment plans and IEP goals
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for students of all backgrounds

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ needs within the school setting
• Write and implement tailored OT intervention plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Support IEP development by providing progress updates and recommendations
• Provide direct and consultative services to students—both individually and in groups
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation in accordance with school and professional standards
• Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy
