School Occupational Therapist | Parma, Michigan

This maternity leave position is set for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning November 5th and extending through mid-February. You’ll deliver full-time services, working up to 40 hours each week, providing valuable therapy and fostering growth in young learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold an active Michigan OT license (must be able to present a copy)
• Prior experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting is highly valued
• Skills in evaluating and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication for collaboration with teachers, families, and administrators
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and create effective, student-centered treatment plans
• Deliver OT services to students as specified in their IEPs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Document service delivery and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory standards
• Consult and provide recommendations to faculty on classroom accommodations and strategies to support access to the curriculum
• Educate families on activities and interventions that can be continued at home to reinforce goals
