Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapist (OTR or COTA as applicable)
  • Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Comfortable working with students across K-12, including elementary, middle, and high school
  • Knowledge of IEPs, goal setting, and progress documentation
  • Compassionate, flexible, and organized in a fast-paced educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evaluation, planning, and direct therapy services to students as outlined in each Individualized Education Program (IEP)
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to support students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive skills necessary for classroom success
  • Collaborate with educational teams to deliver instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Observe and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating updates with teachers and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the achievement of students’ goals
  • Offer support and training to staff and caregivers by sharing strategies and resources
