Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Jersey
- Experience providing OT services in a school setting is preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of assessments, IEPs, and therapeutic interventions
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and school staff
- Adaptable, patient, and passionate about supporting children with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to identify student needs and document progress clearly
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and goals in alignment with IEP teams
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy, both individually and in small groups, within the school environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes according to district and legal requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to maximize student success and participation in the classroom
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as necessary
