This is a full-time, contract position working with a diverse caseload of 50-55 students, offering a unique chance to make a meaningful difference every day.
Your clinical expertise and passion will help students with various needs overcome barriers to learning and participation. Working within a collaborative educational team, you'll have the resources and flexibility to tailor therapeutic strategies and interventions for students at multiple grade levels.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and appropriate state certification
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT settings
- Ability to manage a diverse, mixed caseload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adept at collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Passion for student advocacy and developmental progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional skills and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment goals and intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with relevant regulations
- Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, for students
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Offer training and support for staff and caregivers regarding OT interventions and equipment
