Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, serving elementary students from kindergarten through fifth grade. You’ll be supporting a vibrant school community near Penfield, NY, providing essential services during a key transition period. This assignment is expected to last 30-45 days, with potential for extension as the district completes its permanent hiring process. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • New York State Occupational Therapy license required
  • Prior experience working within school systems, preferably at the elementary level
  • Comfortable with IEP processes, direct student intervention, and consultative services
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with teachers, staff, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapeutic OT services to K-5 students in both individual and group settings
  • Assess student needs and develop goal-oriented treatment plans
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers, helping integrate OT strategies into general education settings
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, assisting with IEP development and updates
