School Occupational Therapist - Petaluma, California

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT license in California (or eligibility)
• Previous experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children
• Familiarity with IEP process and development of age-appropriate goals
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to a diverse range of needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ functional abilities and needs
• Develop and implement individual and group therapy sessions for students on your caseload
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and monitor IEPs
• Provide consultation and training to teachers, staff, and families regarding strategies and accommodations
• Track progress, complete documentation, and participate in meetings to review outcomes
• Serve as an active advocate for student inclusion and participation in school activities
