A rewarding contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist interested in supporting a young student receiving ESY services, with the possibility of an extension into the 2026/2027 school year. This specialized role provides 1:1 services to an out-of-district male student residing at a residential hospital near Hampstead, NH. The school is conveniently located near Peterborough, NH.
The position affords flexible, part-time hours, with services anticipated on Mondays and Fridays between 8:15 a.m. and 2:30–3:00 p.m. The therapist chosen for this role will have the chance to build a strong rapport with a student who is new to OT, encouraging progress by gradually increasing service time based on the student’s individual needs.
Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Experience providing OT services in educational or pediatric settings, preferably with school-aged children
- Understanding of and sensitivity to students transitioning into therapy services
- Comfortable collaborating with residential hospital staff and adapting to changing schedules
- Ability to individualize therapy and implement flexible service time increments
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 OT services tailored to the student’s needs in a residential hospital setting
- Work closely with hospital staff to coordinate service delivery and ensure consistency
- Assess progress and adjust therapy duration as trust and tolerance increases
- Document sessions, interventions, and progress toward goals
- Maintain professionalism and foster a supportive, student-centered atmosphere
