Occupational Therapist School Setting in Petersburg, VA

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure in Occupational Therapy, with eligibility to practice in a school setting
• Experience with pediatric and school-based OT strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to support diverse learning and developmental needs
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Initiative and flexibility to respond to changing caseloads and priorities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students with varying needs
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Offer expertise and support for ESY and compensatory services, ensuring students receive required OT assistance throughout the summer session and beyond
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with school and regulatory protocols
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to cultivate a supportive, inclusive learning environment
