Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state, with credentials suitable for working in schools
- Prior experience in a school-based environment preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, service documentation, and collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students from ASAP through the end of the school year, following their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide therapy for a variety of needs, such as fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care activities, supporting students as they participate in the academic environment
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to develop and update student goals and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and communicate progress effectively
- Work approximately 20–25 hours per week, shaping your schedule around student and school needs
- Offer insights, recommendations, and strategies to staff for integrating OT supports in the classroom
