Occupational Therapist School Setting in Philadelphia, PA

You will work primarily with middle school students four days a week from 7:45 am to 3:00 pm, and spend one day each week at the high school from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, providing a variety of experiences across age groups. Your expertise will directly support students’ development, enabling them to access learning and school environments more fully.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid OT license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to design and implement individualized intervention plans
• Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive educational environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in middle and high school settings
• Assess students’ needs and develop treatment plans aimed at enhancing academic engagement and functional performance
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing input on student progress and goal setting
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and legal guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to integrate strategies into the classroom
• Deliver education and resources to staff and families as needed
