Qualifications:
- Current licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy OT settings
- Skilled at developing and implementing effective interventions for middle school-aged students
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Dedication to fostering participation, confidence, and academic success in young learners
- Adaptability to work with small group models and adjust activities per student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans addressing fine motor skills, self-regulation, sensory processing, and daily living strategies
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions in a group setting, promoting collaboration and peer support
- Document progress, adjust interventions, and communicate regularly with the school team
- Educate staff and families on strategies for carryover of therapy goals within the school and home
- Incorporate innovative approaches—onsite or via teletherapy, as needed—to meet each student’s unique needs
