Step into a rewarding contract position serving K-12 students as a School-Based Occupational Therapist. This is a unique opportunity to provide impactful occupational therapy services, including teletherapy, during the fall semester. You'll deliver expert support to students, helping them achieve their educational and developmental goals in an engaging and collaborative school environment.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapy (OT) license for Arizona
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous experience with school-based OT, including teletherapy delivery
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation
- Strong communication skills to connect with students, educators, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability working with diverse student populations
- Comfortable with virtual therapy platforms and electronic recordkeeping
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students based on IEP mandates
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to develop effective intervention strategies
- Conduct assessments and document progress toward individualized outcomes
- Utilize teletherapy and onsite services to maximize student access to OT support
- Engage families in the therapeutic process and provide ongoing communication regarding student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and team problem-solving sessions
