Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Georgia
- Previous experience serving K-12 students is beneficial
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and IEP process
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to create supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environments
- Comfortable working in person in a school setting (in-person interaction is preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy services to K-12 students to enhance their academic access and participation
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Assess, plan, and document student progress according to school standards
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within classroom environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insight for student program development
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with regulations
- Communicate progress and recommendations effectively with families and educators
