School Occupational Therapist - Pittsford, New York

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license issued by New York State
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Expertise in providing therapy services to students with diverse needs
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities
• Adaptable to varying caseloads and school environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy interventions to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that support student participation and achievement
• Conduct assessments and contribute to the development and review of IEP goals
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions as required by district policies
• Adapt and modify activities and classroom environments to facilitate student access and learning

This assignment offers a full-time schedule of five days a week, with specific caseload and on-site locations to be determined closer to the start date. You'll work as a valued resource within a supportive educational community, helping students build the skills they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
