Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license issued by New York State
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Expertise in providing therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities
- Adaptable to varying caseloads and school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that support student participation and achievement
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development and review of IEP goals
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions as required by district policies
- Adapt and modify activities and classroom environments to facilitate student access and learning
This assignment offers a full-time schedule of five days a week, with specific caseload and on-site locations to be determined closer to the start date. You'll work as a valued resource within a supportive educational community, helping students build the skills they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
