With a consistent 35-hour workweek, you'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and fellow professionals to help each student achieve their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, especially serving K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting therapy to the school environment
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in service delivery
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ motor, sensory, behavioral, and functional skills to identify needs and set goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to diverse learning and developmental needs
- Collaborate with teachers, family members, and other specialists to integrate strategies into classroom routines
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and therapy activities in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
- Provide consultative support and resources to school staff to enhance student participation and independence
