Occupational Therapist School Setting - Plainfield, IL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and independence through expert occupational therapy in a local school setting. Serve as an in-person provider, collaborating closely with the early childhood diagnostic team and making a lasting difference for learners and their families. This assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will run through May 28, 2027.

In this dynamic role, you'll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, for 37.5 to 40 hours each week. Start the year with a manageable caseload of about 30 students, with additional students being added throughout as further evaluations are completed.

Key qualifications:

• Current and active Illinois Occupational Therapy license
• Proven experience with school-based occupational therapy services
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Adaptability as caseload acquires new students over the school year

Primary responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations alongside the early childhood diagnostic team
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students
• Provide direct intervention and therapy as outlined in IEPs
• Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and adjust strategies as needed
• Communicate progress and strategies effectively with families, educators, and other multidisciplinary professionals
