Serve as an in-person provider, collaborating closely with the early childhood diagnostic team and making a lasting difference for learners and their families. This assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will run through May 28, 2027.
In this dynamic role, you'll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, for 37.5 to 40 hours each week. Start the year with a manageable caseload of about 30 students, with additional students being added throughout as further evaluations are completed.
Key qualifications:
- Current and active Illinois Occupational Therapy license
- Proven experience with school-based occupational therapy services
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Adaptability as caseload acquires new students over the school year
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations alongside the early childhood diagnostic team
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students
- Provide direct intervention and therapy as outlined in IEPs
- Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and adjust strategies as needed
- Communicate progress and strategies effectively with families, educators, and other multidisciplinary professionals
