This contract position offers the chance to foster growth and development among young learners, using your expertise in school-based OT practices to make a meaningful impact.
Your caseload will typically range between 35-45 students, primarily at the elementary level. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to craft individualized strategies that help children access their education and progress toward their goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid and current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience or strong knowledge in school-based OT settings
- Familiarity with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process
- Ability to manage a moderate caseload efficiently and compassionately
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to adapt strategies for diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct OT services within classroom and/or pull-out settings
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and parents
- Offer recommendations and training to school staff for integrating sensory and motor activities
