Occupational Therapist School Setting in Pompano Beach, FL

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity serving multiple educational settings in beautiful Southwest Florida. Occupational Therapists with experience or strong interest in school-based practice are invited to collaborate with diverse student populations from kindergarten through 12th grade. This flexible, part-time position covers a variety of sites and provides an engaging mix of direct and virtual (VOCO) service delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing occupational therapy services to students according to IEP requirements across designated schools.
• Collaborating with teachers and special education staff to create and implement individualized intervention plans.
• Assessing students’ functional skills, interpreting evaluation data, and making recommendations for accommodations or strategies as needed.
• Documenting therapy sessions, progress notes, and communication with families per school guidelines.
• Participating in IEP meetings (in-person or virtually) to advocate for students’ needs and support their academic success.
• Maintaining compliance with all district and state regulations regarding service delivery and documentation.

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Experience working with K-12 students, ideally in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of IEP process, goal writing, and progress monitoring.
• Comfort with providing therapy services virtually (VOCO) as well as in-person, as needed.
• Organizational and time management skills to manage multi-site caseloads.
• Clear communication skills for effective collaboration with school teams and families.

Locations and schedule include:

• Bonita Springs area: 30 minutes per week
• Naples area: 2–3 hours per week
• Dural: K-12, 30 minutes and 90 minutes per week across caseloads
• Anticipated start date: August 10th
