Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, serving students from kindergarten through age 26. This full-time position runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, providing consistent support within a school-based setting for 35 hours each week. You’ll make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by helping them develop essential life skills, all while working alongside a dedicated educational team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current, valid Michigan Occupational Therapy license (must provide screenshot of license at submission; verify details via the Michigan licensing portal)
- Prior experience working in a school environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Committed to onsite service provision—remote or COTA support not permitted
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring to students aged K through 26
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans supporting students’ academic and daily life goals
- Consult with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom settings
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and required reports in a timely manner
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative planning for student success
