Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Washington State
  • Experience working with school-aged children and familiarity with IEP processes
  • Background in school-based occupational therapy, home health, or general healthcare OT
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions and therapeutic activities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of students and school schedules
  • Previous contract or travel assignment experience highly valued

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine eligibility and need for occupational therapy services in educational and home health environments
  • Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans focused on helping students reach their academic and functional goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families for coordinated care
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights on student progress and accommodation needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with federal and state policies
  • Provide training and support for classroom staff regarding therapeutic interventions and strategies
  • Transition between school and home-based service delivery as needed
