Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience providing OT services within school settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes and developing treatment plans for a school population
  • Skilled in assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • A passion for helping students achieve their highest potential

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ individual OT needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support student learning and participation
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support classroom strategies and accommodations
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide therapy sessions—both individual and group—to support academic goals and functional skills
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to goal development
  • Stay current with best practices and compliance standards in school-based OT
