Make a meaningful impact supporting students from elementary through high school as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity involves serving seven diverse school communities in the Northern Borough area—comprising one high school, two middle schools, and four elementary schools. You'll play a vital role in helping students maximize their independence and participation within educational environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for practice
  • Demonstrated pediatric or school-based OT experience
  • Ability to assess and develop treatment plans for diverse student needs
  • Strong skills in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to students across assigned schools
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education and intervention programs
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and related service providers to support student goals
  • Supervise and mentor two COTAs, ensuring continuity and quality of services across sites
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress reviews to track student development
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide input for goal setting
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district policies
