Make a meaningful impact supporting students from elementary through high school as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity involves serving seven diverse school communities in the Northern Borough area—comprising one high school, two middle schools, and four elementary schools. You'll play a vital role in helping students maximize their independence and participation within educational environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for practice
- Demonstrated pediatric or school-based OT experience
- Ability to assess and develop treatment plans for diverse student needs
- Strong skills in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) preferred
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students across assigned schools
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education and intervention programs
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and related service providers to support student goals
- Supervise and mentor two COTAs, ensuring continuity and quality of services across sites
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress reviews to track student development
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide input for goal setting
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district policies
