Serve students in a dynamic school-based setting as a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a contract basis. What you'll bring:
- Current, valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working in schools or pediatric healthcare environments
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Solid understanding of therapeutic interventions for students with diverse needs
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Adaptability and resilience to manage a high-needs caseload
What you'll do:
- Provide direct therapy services to students, based on Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Implement assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to team discussions
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
- Receive safety care training to help manage challenging behaviors and maintain a supportive learning environment
