Serve students in a dynamic school-based setting as a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a contract basis. Located near Providence, RI, this opportunity focuses on supporting a high-needs caseload and offers an impactful role through the end of the school year. What you'll bring:

  • Current, valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience working in schools or pediatric healthcare environments
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Solid understanding of therapeutic interventions for students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Adaptability and resilience to manage a high-needs caseload

What you'll do:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students, based on Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
  • Implement assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to team discussions
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
  • Receive safety care training to help manage challenging behaviors and maintain a supportive learning environment
