As a contract Occupational Therapist, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to help students reach their highest potential, developing essential skills for the classroom and beyond.
What You’ll Bring:
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience working in a school environment is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs for students PreK-12
- Passion for empowering students with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Adaptability and creativity in therapeutic approaches
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Develop and implement customized intervention plans to support students’ participation in academics and daily school routines
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and parents to track progress and coordinate strategies
- Document services and progress in alignment with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide consultative support and resources for staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
