Make a meaningful impact supporting students by providing occupational therapy services to a diverse population ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. This contract opportunity, conveniently located near Puyallup, WA, offers a unique school-based setting where you’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational team. The assignment spans from early September 2026 through mid-June 2027. You'll work a typical week of 37.5 to 40 hours, with flexibility built in to adapt to changing school and meeting schedules.
What we’re seeking:
- Active Occupational Therapist license and eligibility to practice in the state
- Prior experience in school-based OT settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP procedures and documentation
- Ability to serve students with varying diagnoses and support needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and other service providers
- Reliable time management and adaptability for shifting school assignments and meeting times
- Commitment to delivering up to 950 direct service minutes weekly
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering targeted OT interventions to support students’ participation and success in school routines
- Evaluating student needs, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress according to district and state guidelines
- Collaborating with teachers, special educators, and families to integrate therapy goals across environments
- Attending IEP meetings and providing expertise to shape support strategies
- Managing a dynamic caseload with students at multiple developmental and grade levels
- Adjusting daily start/end times as needed based on assigned schools or meeting requirements
