Step into an impactful occupational therapy opportunity supporting elementary students throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. As a valued provider, you’ll work a consistent 35-hour week, collaborating with school staff and families to enhance student access, independence, and participation in school routines. This rewarding role is based near Puyallup, WA, and runs from September 1, 2026, through June 17, 2027, with training days scheduled in August (dates to be determined).

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Washington Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility by start date)
  • Background in school-based OT, pediatric OT, or healthcare OT settings
  • Experience designing and implementing IEP-based interventions for elementary age children
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary school teams
  • Flexibility and creativity to adapt intervention plans to meet a diverse range of needs
  • Home health OT experience is valued

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess elementary students’ functional abilities and needs within the school environment
  • Develop and implement targeted, data-driven OT interventions and strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support seamless service delivery
  • Monitor progress and make evidence-based recommendations for services
  • Provide training and consultative services to school personnel and families
  • Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, goals, and outcomes in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in relevant IEP meetings and communicate student progress
