Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade as a dedicated occupational therapy professional in the vibrant Puyallup, WA area. Your days will typically begin at 8:00 am, ending around 3:30 pm, though start and end times may vary in response to assignments and required meetings. With up to 950 direct service minutes per week and hours not to exceed 40, you'll deliver vital occupational therapy services in an engaging, educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Washington state license (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatrics preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload serving students across a wide age range (Pre-K to 12th grade)
- Exceptional communication, organization, and collaborative skills
- Knowledgeable in IEP development and implementation
- Comfortable with varied scheduling, as each school day can present new and different challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, supporting their participation and success within school settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and families
- Complete assessments, document progress, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Adjust support strategies to address individual student strengths and needs
