A contract occupational therapy opportunity is available for an experienced OT passionate about supporting secondary students in a school setting. This onsite, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) runs from ASAP through June 23, 2027, offering a rewarding chance to make a difference throughout the academic year. You’ll work closely with a secondary caseload and supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators while enhancing students’ participation and success in school activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active WA Occupational Therapy License
  • Fingerprinting through OSPI required before start date
  • Experience in a school-based setting, preferably with older students (secondary level)
  • Ability to effectively supervise and mentor a COTA
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and families
  • Organizational and case management skills to prioritize and adapt within a dynamic environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services onsite to secondary-aged students within the district
  • Complete assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and maintain compliance with all documentation
  • Supervise and support a COTA to deliver quality interventions
  • Collaborate with educational staff, families, and related service providers
  • Contribute to professional meetings, goal development, and the creation of adaptive strategies that promote student independence
