Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Massachusetts
  • Background in school-based OT services, including IEP development and implementation
  • Experience with pediatric or adolescent populations
  • Knowledge of best practices in both school and home health environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students according to IEP goals and district procedures
  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor individualized educational plans
  • Document and track student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
  • Support students in fostering functional skills for academic and daily living success
  • Engage families and educators in strategies to generalize skills across settings
  • Stay current with best practices and maintain compliance with local and state regulations
