Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Competency in customizing interventions for diverse learning and sensory needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and small-group OT services to K-12 students as outlined in their IEPs
- Assess and document students’ functional abilities, needs, and progress
- Develop and implement activities aimed at improving fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
- Consult regularly with teachers and educational teams to support students’ classroom participation
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support students’ development at home and in the community
- Maintain thorough, timely, and compliant records as required
