This full-time role (37.5–40 hours weekly) follows a year-round schedule, with a flexible workload model that’s thoughtfully reassessed each month. You’ll make a difference by fostering student growth, enhancing functional skills, and providing support aligned with educational goals.
Qualifications:
- Active OT license from the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT)
- Post-graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year school-based experience required; NC school experience strongly desired
- Demonstrated proficiency in IEPs, ECATS, and thorough documentation
- Skilled at motor screenings, OT evaluations, and application of standardized assessments such as the SPM-2 and Sensory Profile 2
- Aptitude for interpreting assessment results within the school-based setting
- Must obtain an NPI number, register with NC Tracks, and complete DCDEE fingerprinting and district background check prior to starting
Duties:
- Serve multiple school sites (elementary, middle, and high school) as part of a supportive team
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and provide direct interventions
- Collaborate in developing and implementing IEPs, documenting progress and outcomes
- Partner with educators and families to promote student achievement and functional independence
- Adhere to all state and district regulations, maintaining compliance at all times
