Occupational Therapist School Setting in Rancho Cordova, CA

Desired Skills & Background:

• Current Occupational Therapist licensure
• Previous experience in a school-based setting, ideally at the elementary level
• Ability to assess and develop individualized plans for students with varying needs
• Comfortable and effective at supervising and mentoring a COTA
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Organized, flexible, and able to travel between sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional assessments and evaluations of elementary-aged students
• Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans to support students’ academic and functional success
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other school professionals
• Supervise and support the daily work of the assigned COTA
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and updates on student progress
• Maintain timely documentation and service logs per school requirements
