Desired Skills & Background:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, ideally at the elementary level
- Ability to assess and develop individualized plans for students with varying needs
- Comfortable and effective at supervising and mentoring a COTA
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Organized, flexible, and able to travel between sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional assessments and evaluations of elementary-aged students
- Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans to support students’ academic and functional success
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other school professionals
- Supervise and support the daily work of the assigned COTA
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and updates on student progress
- Maintain timely documentation and service logs per school requirements
