Fine Motor Skills Occupational Therapist School Setting - Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Step into a rewarding and impactful role supporting students from preschool through 8th grade as a contract Occupational Therapist serving three local schools. This position offers immediate start due to an unexpected maternity leave, and will continue through the end of the school year. You’ll have the support of a COTA and a manageable caseload of approximately 55 students across two elementary schools and one middle school.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
• Experience in school settings, home health, or healthcare strongly preferred
• Mastery in supporting fine motor skill development
• Skilled in assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to collaborate with educators, COTAs, and families for student success
• Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites during the school day

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with diverse needs
• Evaluate fine motor, sensory, and functional skills, and create tailored intervention plans
• Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to integrate OT strategies in the classroom and at home
• Supervise and collaborate with a COTA to ensure effective service delivery
• Maintain thorough documentation to meet school and district requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting

This contract role follows the district calendar, with hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $50–$65 per hour based on experience.
