This contract position begins immediately and runs through the end of the academic year, with the potential to extend through July. In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to empower students in grades K-12 to achieve their fullest potential. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials
- Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to develop and implement effective therapeutic strategies
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
- Comfortable working across elementary (K-5), middle (6-8), and high school (9-12) grade bands
- Adaptable, solution-oriented, and motivated to support diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in multiple grade levels, per their IEP goals
- Assess student needs and recommend appropriate interventions and adaptive strategies
- Collaborate regularly with school staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reporting
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed and share updates on student progress
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and life skills crucial for daily success
