Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students with your expertise in school-based occupational therapy. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, spanning the academic year from September 2nd to June 24th. You'll be working in a collaborative environment alongside a physical therapist and serving a diverse caseload of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and general education students.
The position kicks off with a staff meeting on September 2nd, and students join on September 3rd. Throughout the year, you’ll have the flexibility to bill for snow days, helping maintain stability regardless of the weather.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid OT licensure for school-based practice
- Prior experience in an elementary or school setting preferred
- Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and interventions a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to balance documentation with direct therapy delivery
- Collaborative attitude to share therapy space and resources
Your Impact & Daily Responsibilities:
- Provide eight therapy sessions per day to support student success both in MTSS and general education populations
- Assess students’ needs and develop creative, individualized intervention plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all sessions and billing, including snow days
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' functional independence in the school environment
- Utilize shared therapy resources and coordinate schedules with the PT
- Take part in all required meetings, professional development, and IEP processes
