This contract position covers a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week) from ASAP through June 11, serving campuses in the vibrant San Jose area. You’ll have opportunities to collaborate with dedicated educators and work hands-on with students in both the Piedmont Hills and McCollam Center locations. Your expertise will guide children along their paths to greater independence and academic success.
Key qualifications:
- Hold a valid California Occupational Therapy license or be eligible according to the CA Occupational Therapy Practice Act
- At least two years of experience in pediatric therapy, ideally focused on developmental disabilities
- Background working in educational environments preferred
- Strong skills in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with families
- Comfortable working exclusively onsite (no remote or hybrid options)
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Evaluate student needs and monitor progress to support educational and functional goals
- Develop and adapt interventions in partnership with educators and families
- Document services, assessments, and ongoing progress for each student
- Contribute expertise during IEP team meetings and support staff with training and resources
