Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary students as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, beginning in early September and concluding mid-June—with training days in August yet to be determined. You’ll make a tangible difference every day, supporting children’s growth in both classroom and daily living skills at a welcoming school in the Renton, WA area.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers to help young learners reach their fullest potential. Your background working in school-based and healthcare-related OT settings will enable you to develop creative, effective interventions tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Washington
  • Previous experience in a school setting, especially with elementary populations
  • Strong understanding of pediatric OT practices
  • Background in healthcare or home health preferred
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students, focusing on improving fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress toward IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the school environment
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by state and federal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and regular team consultations
