This full-time assignment begins August 11, 2026, and runs through the 2026–2027 academic year. As a licensed OT or a highly experienced COTA with a strong background in school or pediatric settings, you'll collaborate onsite and make a meaningful impact across a thoughtfully assigned zone of 6–7 schools in the Southwest Houston area.
What’s Required:
-Active Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
-Several years’ experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy (COTAs must be highly experienced)

-Experience providing both direct and consultative OT services
-Strong documentation skills, with comfort using school-based software and Excel for IEP management
-Completion of fingerprint/background checks per district requirements
-Willingness to work across multiple campuses within the assigned zone and to travel locally as needed
Former employees of the district will not be considered
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct evaluations and participate actively in ARDs (Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings)
-Serve a caseload of approximately 70 students, with 30–40 receiving direct services
-Coordinate schedules to provide flexibly rotating direct services instead of weekly visits for all students
-Proactively maintain clear, accurate records using specialized school documentation systems
-Perform all treatment responsibilities independently (no COTA assistance available); manage time and priorities across multiple locations
