Desired Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a licensed Occupational Therapist in California
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal setting
  • Familiarity with a range of disabilities, intervention strategies, and assistive technology
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-care abilities to identify needs
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on each student’s unique goals
  • Participate as a key member of educational teams to contribute to IEP meetings and develop functional objectives
  • Track and document student progress, adapting interventions as necessary
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to support students across the educational setting
  • Provide training or strategies to staff and families, enhancing carryover of skills in the classroom and at home
