Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a licensed Occupational Therapist in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal setting
- Familiarity with a range of disabilities, intervention strategies, and assistive technology
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and self-care abilities to identify needs
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on each student’s unique goals
- Participate as a key member of educational teams to contribute to IEP meetings and develop functional objectives
- Track and document student progress, adapting interventions as necessary
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to support students across the educational setting
- Provide training or strategies to staff and families, enhancing carryover of skills in the classroom and at home
