Apply NowStep into a rewarding opportunity providing Occupational Therapy services for K-12 students in a dynamic school setting. This full-time, contract position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 3 and running through June 4. You’ll work with a diverse caseload of approximately 50-55 students with varying needs, supporting their growth and success in the educational environment.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license and certification valid in California
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school or pediatric setting
- Solid knowledge of IEP process and relevant documentation standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, other therapists, and families
- Strong organization, time management, and communication abilities
- Adaptability in addressing the needs of a mixed caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify strengths and challenges impacting academic performance
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educational teams to integrate OT interventions into daily classroom activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all assessments, sessions, and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and advocacy for student needs
- Offer support and strategies to families and staff to promote students’ independence
