Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in New York State (NYS)
  • Experience supporting students in a school-based setting preferred
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions for pediatric populations
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to different school locations and caseloads as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with each student’s IEP or program needs
  • Assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions that address fine motor, sensory, and functional skills development
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student participation in daily school routines
  • Document progress and prepare reports for team meetings and compliance
  • Support initiatives for inclusive and accessible learning environments
  • Flexibly manage caseload and service locations (anticipated full-time, 5 days per week; specific site details to be determined)
