Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement IEPs and other treatment plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork with staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students’ needs to determine appropriate OT interventions
- Develop customized treatment plans, goals, and progress reports in alignment with educational objectives
- Work directly with students in group and individual settings, using evidence-based strategies to support development
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support the integration of therapeutic activities into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing OT input and advocating for student needs
- Document services and maintain records in accordance with school and regulatory standards
