Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an OT in Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to create and implement student-focused therapy plans
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Dedication to serving diverse student populations with varying needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students’ needs related to fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and other professionals to support students’ success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide timely progress reports
  • Offer consultation and training to school staff, empowering them to implement effective classroom strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute specialized expertise to student planning and review processes
